Lance Armstrong's demise is pretty much complete now -- Nike has dropped him as a spokesperson, and he's resigning as chairman of his own Livestrong cancer charity.

The news comes a week after a damning report from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, which shows conclusively that Armstrong used performance-enhancing drugs throughout his cycling career.

A statement from Nike says, "Due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Lance Armstrong participated in doping and misled Nike for more than a decade, it is with great sadness that we have terminated our contract with him."

In a statement announcing his resignation, Armstrong says, "My family and I have devoted our lives to the work of the foundation and that will not change. We plan to continue our service to the foundation and the cancer community. We will remain active advocates for cancer survivors and engaged supporters of the fight against cancer."
