Opened Friday, Dec 14: The new National Children’s Museum is now open at National Harbor featuring exhibits and activities that focus on the arts, civic engagement, the environment, global citizenship, health and well being, and play.

Something to see, all the wreaths - at Arlington National Cemetary. Each year Worcester Wreath Company (the wreath company that provides holiday greenery for L.L. Bean) makes and decorates holiday wreaths and places them on over 5,000 headstones.

Nov 30 – Dec 30: 17th Annual Gaithersburg Winter Lights Festival.  Winter Lights features more than 360 illuminated vignettes and 65 animated displays in a 3.5 mile drive. Visit Winter Woods, Teddy Bear Land, Victorian Village, North Pole, Toyland, and Penguin Cove.

November 16 - January 6, 2013: ICE!
