For the second time in five days, the locks on cell doors at a Montgomery County jail suddenly unlocked.
That sort of defeats the purpose of a jail, don't you think?
No inmates tried to escape either time - early this morning and this past Tuesday - in Boyds. Todays incident involved about 500 cells.
The Director of the County Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation says a secuirty door that opens unexpectedly is a major security problem. Well...yes.
About 20 police cars were on patrol outside the facility today just in case. The locks were reset within an hour.
