The recent SXSW Music Festival included some frank talk by Stevie Nicks about the status of women today.
Here's her take on the world of rock and roll...and society as a whole: "I see women being put back in their place...and I hate it."
As for the role models she looked up to, Stevie acknowledged two women and a man: Janis Joplin, Grace Slick and Jimi Hendrix. And she compared herself to opera singers who take the stage in their mid-80s, saying "I do plan to still be out there singing when I'm a seriously older woman."
