One good thing about working the early morning schedule is that I don't SNACK as often as I would if I worked "normal" hours. I usually have a banana with spoonfuls of peanut butter for breakfast...then I don't eat again until I get home for lunch.
When I used to work later in the day, I had a habit of "snacking" between meals. Sometimes, I'd be good about packing fruits or veggies...but most of the time, I relied on what was in the vending machine. Big mistake.
My two favorite "go to" snacks were pretzels and popcorn. It turns out BOTH of those are bad choices.
